Bhubaneswar: Nine months after the auditoriums were shut down for COVID-19, the facilities are all set to reopen in Odisha Capital from January 1.
Permission will be given to organise cultural programmes at Rabindra Mandap, Bhanjakala Mandap and Utkal Rangamanch here in the city from the first day of 2021.
However, there will be cap on the number of audience in adherence to COVID-19 protocol. People will use masks and maintain social distancing inside the theatres. Spitting on auditorium premises will be taken seriously. The performing organisation has to take appropriate steps in this regard.
Director, Culture Department, Ranjan Kumar Das informed that bookings will be accepted online.
The Odisha State Museum will celebrate it’s foundation day on December 29. Some special guests will be invited with all the Corona guidelines on the occasion. Besides, virtual programmes will be organised, informed Das.
Earlier, permission was given to organise cultural programmes in open theatres with all Covid guidelines.
