Mumbai: On late Irrfan Khan’s 59th birth anniversary, his son Babil Khan paid a deeply emotional tribute to him with unseen pictures and a heartfelt note, which beautifully captured their bond over the years.
Remembering his father, Babil shared two unseen pictures.
The first picture, a warm, candid moment frozen in time, shows a young Babil lying on his father on a mat.
In the second picture, both the father and son are seen indulged in a heartfelt conversation years later.
Sharing the images, Babil wrote, “Pictures of you. Pictures of me. (I used to say ‘sofa mode activated’ before I jumped on him and fell asleep on his back).”

Last year, in an interview with The Lallantop, Babil opened up about the criticism he faced early in his career and how his father’s death affected him.
“Some people said I was using my father’s death to launch my acting career. If that were true, I wouldn’t still be giving auditions today. I was sharing love because we were flooded with it from everyone. I had to honour that,” he shared.
Born on January 7, 1967, Irrfan remains one of India’s most loved and respected actors.
Over a career spanning more than three decades, Irrfan brought authenticity and depth to every character he played onscreen.
His untimely demise in 2020 left an irreplaceable void in the film industry.
