Babu Patti, Amitabh’s Ancestral Village On Cleaning Spree Ahead Of His Visit

Uttar Pradesh: Babu Patti, a village in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh is on a cleaning spree ahead of Amitabh Bachchan’s visit.

Babu Patti in UP is Big B’s ancestral village. In a recent episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, Big B revealed that he is planning to visit his ancestral village with his family soon.

According to an IANS report, as soon as the villagers learnt about this, they started preparations for welcoming the legend.

From removing garbage to getting their houses whitewashed, the residents of Babu Patti are doing all they can to give a grand welcome to Big B and his family.

During the KBC episode that was aired on October 20, when a contestant’s uncle urged Amitabh to pay a visit to his ancestral village in UP, the legend humbly said that he will soon do so.

Big B also expressed his desire to build a school for children in Babu Patti.

Amitabh’s grandparents, Pratap Narain Srivastava and Saraswati Devi Srivastava lived in Babu Patti.

The village also has a library named after Big B’s father, late Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

“Our dreams of meeting the superstar may now be fulfilled. We are eagerly waiting for him to announce his programme,” said Bhagwan Das Yadav, a resident of Babu Patti.
