Mumbai: The Varun Dhawan starrer much-awaited movie ‘Baby John’, which is a remake of Tamil film ‘Theri’, is running in theatres now.
Thalapathy Vijay, who played the lead in the original Tamil film ‘Theri’, took to his X handle to send best wishes to Varun and the filmmakers for the success of their film.

To this, filmmaker Atlee, who directed the Tamil film and bankrolled ‘Baby John’ replied, “Love you na Thank you soooo much It means a lot to us ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
The ‘Baby John’ actor Varun posted, “Thank you thalapathy Vijay sir 🙏. We will always remain babies near you ❤️#babyjohn.”
Thanking Vijay, actress Keerthy Suresh wrote, “Sirrrr !! Coming from you means a lot !! Thankkk youuu so much for your wishes! ☺️🙏🏼.”
Directed by Kalees, the high-octane action sequences in ‘Baby John’ were created by a team of eight international action directors namely, Anl Arasu, Stunt Silva, Anbariv, Yannick Ben, Sunil Rodrigues, Kaloyan Vodenicharov, Manohar Verma, Bronwin October.
Produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, and Jyoti Deshpande, ‘Baby John’ stars Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav in prominent roles.
‘Baby John’ revolves around a fierce cop, DCP Satya Verma, who kills the son of a politician for committing a grave crime. In return, the politician destroys Satya’s family and cop tries to protect his daughter Khushi from him.
Tamil film ‘Theri’ was about an honest cop, DCP Vijaya Kumar, who goes into hiding to bring up his daughter in a safe environment. However, when his daughter’s life is in danger, he revisits his past to protect her.
