Bajaj is likely to launch its much-awaited electric scooter Chetak on January 14.
The iconic scooter , which is being reintroduced with an electric powertrain, will be initially sold in Pune only. Bangalore and other metro cities will follow in phased manner.
It uses an IP67 rated battery pack that is expected to provide a range of around 95 km. The battery will come with a three-year/50,000km warranty. It can be recharged using a standard household 5-15 amp outlet.
The scooter is expected to be priced around Rs 1.2 lakh.
It is being speculated that the new Chetak electric scooters will be sold through the premium KTM outlets.
