Hyderabad: Two weeks after its Telugu release, the Hindi version of Balakrishna-Urvashi Rautela starrer ‘Daaku Maharaaj’ is set to hit theatres on January 24.
The Telugu film, which was released on the occasion of Sankranti on January 12, minted ₹81.3 crore in India and ₹113.50 crore worldwide, as per a Sacnilk report.
Besides Balakrishna and Urvashi, the film also features Pragya Jaiswal of ‘Khel Khel Mein’ fame, Shraddha Srinath and Bobby Deol.
“I am beyond elated for the release of Daaku Maharaaj in its Hindi dubbed version. The film has received a lovely outpour of love from the audiences in the south, and I cannot wait for the Hindi audiences to witness this spectacle on January 24! See you at the big screens!” Pragya said.
Pragya worked with Balakrishna in the 2021 film ‘Akhanda’ also.
‘Daaku Maharaaj’ outshone the Ram Charan-Kiara Advani starrer ‘Game Changer’ and Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Meenakshi Chaudhary’s ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ at the box-office.
While speaking about the film’s success, Urvashi told Lehren TV, “But I think ki agar Kiara Advani ki Game Changer disaster hui hai and meri Daaku Maharaaj blockbuster hit hogayi hai, then it’s not my mistake. I feel, ‘Kyun yeh tweets wagera horahi hai’ (if Kiara Advani’s Game Changer is a disaster and my Daaku Maharaaj is a blockbuster hit, then it’s not my mistake. I feel, ‘Why these tweets are happening’.”
