Bhubaneswar: The maximum temperature, which remained below 40 degree Celsius in all the districts of Odisha on Sunday, is unlikely to change in next 2-3 days.
In its evening bulletin, the regional office of India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the low pressure over north Andaman Sea and adjoining south Myanmar coast and the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 4.5 km above mean sea level persist.
The Met office forecast that light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nayagarh, Khurda, Ganjam, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh districts.
It has also forecast rain at one or two places in Rayagada, Koraput, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Balangir, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Boudh, Puri, Kandhamal and Malkangiri.
Balangir was the hottest place with 39.9 degree Celsius followed by Baripada with 39.8 degree, Bhubaneswar with 39.2 degree and Malkangiri with 39 degree.
