Balasore: The Industrial Police here on Friday arrested a man in connection with the massive blast in a three-storey building at Achyutpur village on October 3.
He has been identified as Sridhara Mohanty. He was nabbed from his house in Bada Sahi village.
The blast took place inside a room on the top floor of the building of one Kalicharan Mahapatra late in the night. The impact of the blast was so severe that the walls of the room and a part of the roof collapsed.
In the course of the investigation, police found that Mohanty, a marble mason, who was staying on the top floor of the building, was not present when the blast took place. Besides, one Sumit of Bihar, who was also staying on the first floor of the building, was also absent.
