The series of thefts came to light following a complaint registered on April 15. Subsequent probe revealed involvement of the same gang in multiple robberies across the district. “Through sustained surveillance and intelligence gathering, police tracked down the accused,” the SP said.
Items recovered from the accused include 188 grams of gold, 27.5 kg of silver, and Rs 4.80 lakh in cash. In addition, a bullet motorcycle, LED TV, inverter, refrigerator, and other stolen articles were also seized.
