Bangladeshi Woman Forced Into Prostitution Rescued In Odisha’s Jajpur
Jajpur: A Bangladeshi woman who was sold as a sex worker in India was rescued from Dharmasala in Jajpur district.
According to reports, one Ajay Das of Dharmasala had brought the woman to India and later sold her to a prostitution racket in Kolkata. Ajay later brought the woman to Dharmasala and kept her in the house of an acquaintance.
The woman narrated her ordeal to the house owner. Following this, police rescued the woman and took her to a shelter home in Jajpur.
Police said they have arrested Ajay and also questioning the woman for more information.
On her part, the woman has requested police to make arrangements for her return to Bangladesh.
