Bar Council Of India Permits Law Universities To Hold Physical Examinations

New Delhi: Law universities across India have been permitted by the Bar Council of India (BCI) to conduct physical examinations for students, reported India Today.

An official press release by BCI mentions the guidelines and rules for conducting examinations this year in wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

The press release states that the physical exams are to be held only without penalising any student unable to appear for the exam and that students will be allowed to re-appear for it “within one month of physical re-opening of the universities and college”.

The universities will have the option “to conduct the physical examination with the NOC of the state government and State Disaster Management Authority”, added the notification.

The BCI also recommended that in case the pandemic doesn’t subside, the exam and classes for all intermediate and final year students are to be held online.
