Berhampur: Despite various measures taken by the district administration to contain coronavirus, Berhampur continues to be the hot spot in the state.
The district collector had declared complete shutdown in the city for four days from June 27 and appealed to the people of rural areas not to travel to urban centres.
Health workers conducted door-to-door survey to identify symptomatic and asymptomatic persons in the city.
Notwithstanding these steps, six localities including Sahu Colony-Ward No. 04, Bhaba Nagar 4th lane, Tulasi Nagar 6th lane, Bank Colony 1st lane near A.I.R Office, Gandhi Nagar 4th lane, and Burma Colony were declared as containment zones on Sunday.
