Simranjeet scored a brace with his goal in the 46th minute and received the Man of the Match award from Hockey Legend Ajitpal Singh.

Skipper Mandeep, Akashdeep and Lalit Upadhyay also hit a goal each. India ruled the entire match giving barely any chance to SA.

Earlier in the day, Belgium won the match against Canada with the scorecard reading 2-1. India will now face Belgium on December 2, as both the teams have three points each in Pool C.
