Now, Rape Slur On Bhadrak Jailor

Bhadrak: Acting tough against Bhadrak jailor Chinmay Patra, accused of misbehaving with two woman, ADG (Prisons) Binayanand Jha on Wednesday transferred him to M Rampur sub-jail in Kalahandi district.

The move came just hours after a woman lodged a complaint against the jailor at Mahila police station in Keonjhar district, alleging that he forced her to have a physical relationship with him after she mistakenly dialed his number once.

On June 1, Patra took the victim to a secluded place near Barbil railway station by his car and raped her. He also thrashed her severely after she opposed it and fled the spot leaving her alone.

The woman narrated the ordeal before her family members. When the survivor and her family members came to know that Patra is a police officer, they decided to remain silent and not disclose the matter before anyone.

However, she mustered courage to lodge a complaint against the jailor after she came to know from TV news about him misbehaving with another woman two days back.
