Mumbai: Comedian Bharti Singh took to her Instagram handle on Monday to share with fans the news of her return to ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
After her arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), rumour mills started working overtime that Bharti has been expelled from the popular comedy show.
However, putting an end to the rumours, Bharti shared a photo of herself dressed in bright red colour salwar kameez and wrote, “Red is the colour of Bonding of 2 Hearts. ❤️ #kapilsharmshow every sat-sun 9.30pm @sonytvofficial, jwellry by- @divasmantra
jwellry, managed by- @allboutcommunication, hairstyles- @noorjahansaiyyed, make-up- @vishnu9352”
Here’s what Bharti posted on Insta:
Earlier in an interview with Times of India, Bharti’s colleague Krushna Abhishek had come out in support of her and dismissed the rumours of her expulsion from the show.
“I haven’t heard of any such discussion or development from the channel’s end. No such decision has been taken by the channel. Even if something like this happens, I will support Bharti. She should get back to work. Jo ho gaya woh ho gaya (whatever has happened, has happened). We stand by Bharti and both Kapil (Sharma) and I are with her. She has my unconditional support,” he had said.
Bharti and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were arrested by the NCB on November 21 after 86.5 grams of Cannabis were recovered from their possession during a raid.
Later, the couple was granted bail by a magistrate court.
