Varanasi: Popular Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey was found hanging in her hotel room in Varanasi, where she was shooting for a film, on Sunday. She was 25.
“It was her first day on the sets of the new film Nayak. Today around 9 am when her makeup boy went to call her at her hotel, she was found dead in the room. She was shooting alongside Aklesh Verma,” ETimes quoted a source as saying.
While police have begun an investigation, prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide.
Hours before she allegedly took her life, Akanksha had shared a video, flaunting her belly dancing skills on the Bhojpuri song Hilore Mare.

For the unversed, Akanksha made her debut with Meri Jung Mera Faisla. She also acted in Mujhse Shadi Karogi (Bhojpuri), Veeron Ke Veer, Fighter King, Kasam Paida Karne KI 2.
