“Fortunately, Babushan did not drop me during the lifts,” said Bhoomika, laughing out loud while sharing her experience during the shoot of ‘DJ wala dance…’ song for upcoming Odia flick ‘Hero No. 1’.
They sweated it out during rehearsals for the perfect lift, she said.
The peppy number with retro beats has been climbing the popularity chart since its digital release with the innovative set, sizzling costumes and beautiful choreography by Girish Mohanty, lending it a Bollywood feel.
“To match Babushan’s physique, I had to put on a little weight. I went for a stylish haircut and coloured it for the song,” said Bhoomika, a trained dancer.
Getting that seductive and bold look right too was a little difficult, she said.
The song was shot in Jagatpur and Kalinga Studio in Bhubaneswar over a period of two days. “The film is as entertaining as the song,” she added.
