Applications Invited For Professor Posts In Odia Chair At BHU

The Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, has invited applications for filling up the post of Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant professor, Faculty of Arts, Indian Languages.

The Government of Odisha, with the objective of promoting Odia Language, had set up Odia Chair in many national and international educational institutions. Accordingly, an Odia Chair – Kabi Samrat Upendra Bhanja Chair, was set up at BHU.

Eligible and interested candidates can send their biodata to the Registrar (Recruitment Cell) Holkar House, Banaras Hindu University. The last date for receiving biodata is December 6.

The required qualification for different designations are as per the requirement of the post and designation.

Essential Qualification

For Professor

1. An eminent scholar having PhD in Odia, and published work of at least 10 research publications in UGC listed journals.

OR

2. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor or research experience at University/national level institutions.

For Associate Professor

• A PhD in Odia with good academic record and minimum of eight years of experience of teaching in a college/university.

OR

• Research position in an Accredited Research institution with at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals.

For Assistant Professor

• The candidate must have scored at least 55% marks in post-graduation and cleared NET.
