Bhubaneswar: The Biju Patnaik International Airport will operate for one shift a day, post Lockdown 2,0.
Briefing the media here on Thursday, director of the airport VV Rao said the airport will operate from 10 am to 6 pm daily.
He said compared to the number of flights the airport was used to handling before the lockdown, it will be much less once the second phase of lockdown is lifted.
“In accordance with the directive of the Airport Authority of India (AAI) and the Civil Aviation Ministry, the airport will handle 16 flights with two flights per hour,” Rao added.
Referring to the preventive measures to be put in place in the airport for the passengers as well as the airport staff, he said there will be special guidelines for the management of the airport.
“For hand washing, there will more wash basins in the airport, he pointed out.
