Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital saw another 137 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hour, which took the affected tally to 2502 on Wednesday.
Among them, 98 are quarantine and 39 local contact cases.
Barring four with travel history, the rest 94 quarantine cases are contacts of previous patients. While 11 cases are from Unit-I Basti, seven are from Satya Nagar. Five cases have been detected at Kalpana Square and four at Saheed Nagar.
Among the local contact cases, four are from Shastri Nagar and three from Kalinga Nagar. One more case has been detected from Salia Sahi.
“Further contact tracing is on. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and these will be under active surveillance,” the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation tweeted.
On the other hand, 75 more patients of the city have been cured of the infection.
With 13 deaths and 1216 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 1271 active cases.
