Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital reported over 400 new COVID-19 cases for the second consecutive day, which took the affected tally to 14952 on Thursday.
Of the 460 new cases, 185 are contacts of previous patients. The remaining 275 are local contact cases.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), six infected are staffers of a private hospital while one is an employee of a central government hospital. Another 15 cases have been reported from Chandrasekharpur in the city.
The local contact cases include 17 more from IRC village and seven from Rasulgarh.
The BMC also informed about 405 more patients getting cured of the infection.
With 54 deaths and 9755 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 5130 active cases.
