Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital saw another 325 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the affected tally to 17620 on Thursday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 224 are local contact cases while the rest 101 are those who contracted the virus from previous patients.
While 79 per cent of the total infections on Wednesday was local contacts, the percentage of such cases was 68 on Thursday.
Among the new cases are, nine are private hospital staff and three cops. As many as 31 health staff and 10 policemen were found infected the previous day.
The last 24 hours also saw three deaths and 420 more patients recovering from the infection.
With 67 deaths and 13114 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 4426 positive cases.
