Bhubaneswar: In a gesture of gratitude towards medical professionals at the forefront of the battle against Covid-19 pandemic, Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopters showered flower petals on Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Covid hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
It was a great morale booster for the Covid-19 Warriors, who have dedicated themselves to save lives of patients affected by novel coronavirus.
The KIMS authority acknowledged the show of solidarity by the IAF.
“We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India for motivating and lifting the spirits of the Covid Warriors at KIMS. Because of this, the willpower of all Doctors, Nurses and Paramedical Staff along with other Covid Warriors will be strengthened and they will continue to fight against the novel coronavirus with renewed zeal,” said founder of KIIT, KISS and KIMS Dr Achyuta Samanta.
He also thanked Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik for his support in opening a special Covid hospital at KIMS. “As a result, it has been possible for us to witness such a remarkable and memorable moment today,” added Dr Samanta.
