Bhubaneswar All Decked Up To Welcome President Droupadi Murmu

Bhubaneswar: Odisha capital is all decked up with hoardings and flowers to welcome President Droupadi Murmu, who will arrive in the city on Thursday on a two-day visit.

Elaborate arrangements have been made for the President’s security. This will be her maiden visit to the state after assuming office as the President of India.

According to sources, Droupadi will be given a guard of honour after arriving at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar at 10.50 am, following which she will flown to Talabania helipad in a special Air Force chopper at 11.40 am and move back to Raj Bhavan.

Thereafter, she will proceed to Jagannath Temple, where she have darshan of the sibling deities from 12 noon to 1 pm. The devotees are prohibited from entering the temple from 10.30 am till the President leaves the premises for security reasons, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration administer (development) Ajay Jena told media.

After returning to Bhubaneswar in the afternoon, Droupadi will attend a civic reception at Raj Bhavan.
