Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in Bhubaneswar crossed 600-mark on Friday with 45 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
Among these, 35 were in quarantine and 10 local contact cases, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation tweeted.
Eleven of these patients are employees of a central government hospital while another is an attendant at a private hospital. Two cases have a travel history to Kolkata and 20 persons have been infected by earlier positive cases. A dentist has also tested positive for the virus.

“Further contact tracing is still on. Primary contacts and nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised and these will be under active surveillance,” the post added.
The city had reported a record 46 COVID-19 cases on July 8.

Meanwhile, another six patients have been cured of the infection. With seven deaths and 308 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 286 active cases.
