Bhubaneswar Reports Around 80 New COVID-19 Cases For 2nd Day

Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 daily caseload in the Odisha capital remained around 80 for the second consecutive day on Sunday.

According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 83 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours. A total of 81 were found infected the previous day.

The city has been reporting less than 100 cases every day since October 26, barring October 28 when 110 people were found infected.

Almost 76 per cent (63) of the new infections are local contacts.

With this, the affected tally in the city hs touched 29236.

The last 24 hours also saw one more COVID-19 deaths while another 201 recovered from the infection.

With 167 deaths and 27744 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 1304 active cases.
