Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 tally in the Odisha capital touched 6396 on Thursday with 319 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
This is for the second day that the city has reported over 300 new cases.
Among them, 172 are quarantine and 147 local contact cases.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 13 new cases have been reported from Budha Nagar and nine are Unit 6. EIght among them are government employees, four from 7th Batallion, two from traffic office and one from a media house.
Three among the quarantine cases have travel history to West Bengal and Delhi.
The local contact cases include 16 from Mancheswar, five from VSS Nagar while five are employees of a private hospital.
The BMC also informed about 113 more patients recovering from the infection.
With 31 deaths and 3953 recoveries, Bhubaneswar now has 2405 active cases.
