Bhubaneswar: The capital city witnessed a drastic fall in daily COVID positive cases with 203 testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours compared to 318 new cases on Sunday and 354 cases the previous day.
Of the new cases registered during the period, 64 were from quarantine and 139 local contacts, according to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Of the local contact cases, 15 cases were reported from Patia and 7 from Khandagiri.
As many as 134 patients recovered from the disease during the period while the number of deceased went up to 816. The city now has 2557 active cases while the total cases have gone up to 1,00,384, the BMC stated.
