Bhubaneswar: The daily spike in COVID-19 cases in the Odisha capital continued to remain below 100 on Saturday with 81 more people testing positive for the virus.
The city has been reporting less than 100 cases every day since October 26, barring October 28 when 110 people were found infected.
It has seen 87 and 93 new cases in the last two days.
Among the new infections, 19 are quarantine and 62 local contacts.
With this, the affected tally has touched 29153.
The last 24 hours also saw two COVID-19 deaths and 226 more patients getting cured of the disease.
While the toll has mounted to 166, a total of 27543 patients have recovered. Bhubaneswar now has 1423 active cases.
