Bhubaneswar: The 19th edition of Dhauli-Kalinga Mahotsav-2023, showing classical dance, martial art forms and folk performances, will be held on the foothills of Dhauli, on the outskirts of Odisha capital, from February 10.
This year, 300 artistes from different disciplines will participate in the two-day festival.
Buddha Samman, instituted by the Orissa Dance Academy, will be conferred on eminent vocalist Shyamamani Devi. The award carried Rs 1 lakh cash reward, a citation and a shawl. Similarly, Guru Gangadhar Pradhan Smruti Samman, carrying a cash reward of Rs 25 lakh, will be conferred on music composer Bankim Sethu, Odissi dancer Niranjan Rout, mardala player Sachidananda Das and Chhau exponent Sadashiva Pradhan.
Culture Department will co-host the festival being organised every year by Orissa Dance Academy and Art Vision with the help of Odisha Tourism.
