Bhubaneswar: After launching the direct flight between Bhubaneswar and Surat on Monday, the Civil Aviation Ministry has proposed to introduce another direct flight between the Odisha capital and Varanasi next month.
Air India is most likely to launch the proposed flight from February 29, the director of Biju Patnaik International Airport, Baruda Venkateshwara Rao, informed.
“As Varanasi and Puri are two of the most-visited pilgrimage destinations in the country, there will be massive turnout of passengers once AI launches the direct flight,” Rao said,
