Bhubaneswar: Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAS), Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan’s (SOA) faculty of agricultural sciences, was presented the prestigious ‘Outstanding Agriculture Institute/University’ award at the Outlook Agri-Tech Summit and Awards 2024’ held at New Delhi on Sunday.
Dean of IAS Prof. Santosh Kumar Rout received the award from Devesh Chaturvedi, Principal Secretary, Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.
SOA Founder President Prof. (Dr) Manojranjan Nayak and Officer-on-Special Duty Pritam Nayak were also present at the event, which was themed ‘Future of Farming: Sowing Seeds of Change’.
IAS was recognised for its outstanding achievements in agricultural education, research and technological advancement.
Prof. Rout said the award was a significant milestone for the institute, further strengthening its standing as an innovator in agricultural education, research and contribution towards the future of Indian agriculture.
