Bhubaneswar: Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), faculty of dental sciences of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), has been conferred with the ‘Most Innovative Dental College’ award.
Dean of IDS Prof. Neeta Mohanty received the award from national president of Indian Dental Association (IDA) Dr Rajiv Chugh at the recently-concluded Oral Health Innovation Conclave at New Delhi.
The national conclave, organised by IDA and mentored by NiTi Ayog, provided a platform for stakeholders and policymakers drawn from Dental Council of India, WHO, ICMR, CSIR, FDI, BIRAC and DRDO and various dental colleges and industries to interact directly.
Dr Luv Aggarwal, Additional Secretary in Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, was the chief guest at the conclave.
Prof. Mohanty delivered the keynote lecture on ‘Steering Innovation Through Evidence Based Result’ while Dr Lora Mishra, Dr Saurav Panda, Dr Rupsa Das, Dr Swagatika Panda and Officer on Special Duty Pritam Nayak showcased the institute and SOA’s achievements through an aesthetically designed booth.
Students and interns of IDS actively participated in the event. Their research papers and posters were highly appreciated by the judges.
