Bhubaneswar: Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai for collaboration on enhancing the availability of highly qualified manpower in Chemistry, Chemical engineering and technology, biological sciences and allied areas.
SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda and ICT Mumbai Vice-Chancellor Prof. Aniruddha B Pandit signed the MoU on Saturday.
As per the agreement, the two institutions will push for interactions between scientists, research fellows, faculty members and students.
There will be exchange of personnel through deputation as per rules of the respective institutions, organisation of joint conferences and seminars, expert lectures by professors of the two institutions, joint guidance of student projects and thesis in academic programmes of mutual interest by ICT at SOA.
Both institutions will make available their important research and development facilities to each other for promoting academic and research interaction and permit exchange of software and other materials and components developed in-house in the areas of cooperation.
ICT will also leverage the ecosystem and work with startup companies collocated with SOA-Centre for Innovation and Incubation (SOA-CII) and Atal Incubation Centre (AIC)-SOA Foundation.
