Mumbai: Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are set to reunite on the big screen.
Having worked together in box-office hits like ‘Hum’, ‘Andhaa Kaanoon’ and ‘Geraftaar’, the two legends of Indian cinema will be sharing the screen space after almost 32 years in the upcoming film â
Thalaivar 170â.
It will be the 170th film of Rajinikanthâs career, hence the title of the film.
The 72-year-old Rajinikanth, who recently wrapped up the shoot of âJailerâ, is also working on âLal Salaamâ.
Once he completes the two movies, he will start working with âJai Bhimâ director TJ Gnanavelâs next project âThalaivar 170â.
The 80-year-old Bachchan will play an important role in the film, IndiaToday.in reported.
The last time 80-year-old Bachchan featured with Rajini was in the 1991-released âHumâ, directed by Mukul S Anand.
âThalaivar 170â is likely to be bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
The film is expected to take off later this year.
