Bigg Boss OTT Winner Elvish Yadav Arrested In Snake Venom Case
New Delhi: Noida Police arrested Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in a snake venom case on Sunday.
Elvish, whose medical examination was conducted following arrest, will be produced before the court.
The 26-year-old YouTuber allegedly provided snake venom for a rave party that he organised at a banquet hall in Noida’s Sector 51 on November 3, 2023.
Forensic reports earlier confirmed presence of snake venom in samples collected from the party.
Elvish and six others have been charged with provisions of Wildlife (Protection) Act and IPC Section 120A (criminal conspiracy).
The former Bigg Boss OTT winner had been questioned earlier, but wasn’t arrested.
Police rescued nine snakes, including five cobras, from Elvish’s possession on November 3. Venom glands of all nine snakes were missing.
Police had also seized 20 ml of snake venom, which is used as a recreational drug, from the accused.
Elvish had dismissed the accusations as “baseless, fake and not even 1 per cent true.”
A People For Animals (PFA) official, who had brought to notice the snake venom rave party, filed a complaint against Elvish last week, alleging threats from the YouTuber.
Elvish faces another case for featuring in a music video in which a rare species of snake was used.
Eight days ago, Elvish and a few others were charged for assaulting a Delhi-based content creator in Noida. The complainant claimed that Elvish tried to ‘break his spine’ and threatened to kill him.
