Mumbai: Director Lokesh Kanagaraj and the makers of Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Coolie’ on Friday announced that the film will hit screens on August 14.
Along with a fierce new poster, the filmmakers shared, “Sound-ah yethu! Deva Varraaru #Coolie worldwide from August 14th.”

The announcement of ‘Coolie’ release date created a flutter on social media as Hrithik Roshan’s ‘War 2’ is also scheduled to release on that date.
Netizens opined that the release of these two films a day ahead of Independence Day is going to be the ‘biggest clash of the decade.’

‘Coolie’ also stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, and Monisha Blessy in key roles.
‘War 2’, directed by Ayan Mukherji, will see Kiara Advani opposite Hrithik.
