New Delhi: The latest trends in the counting of votes for 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar give a clear edge to the NDA, which could be on course to retain power.
Nitish Kumar, who is heading the JD(U)-BJP combine, has crossed the halfway mark as per latest EC trends for 238 of 243 seats by leading on 125 seats (BJP 70, JDU 48, VIP 6, HAM 1). The Tejashwi Yadav-led Mahagathbandhan comprising RJD, Congress and Left Parties is ahead on 101 seats (RJD 62, Congress 20, Left 19) while BSP is leading on 1, AIMIM on 2, LJP on 5 and independents on 4 seats.
