Bird Flu Resurfaces At Delhi Zoo
New Delhi: Another case of bird flu was confirmed at the National Zoological Park, also known as Delhi Zoo, here on Tuesday.
Officials said a total of seven samples were collected from different parts of the zoo and sent for testing in light of the bird flu outbreak.
All the seven samples have returned positive for bird flu, the officials added, as per a report in India Today.
Earlier in January, more than seven states across the country reported confirmed cases of avian influenza. This had prompted the Centre to issue guidelines to zoos and national parks, advising them to monitor the deaths of birds and report such matters to the relevant authorities without wasting any time.
