BJD Leader Counters Odisha BJP’s Demand For Corona Test Of All Returnees

Bhubaneswar: BJD spokesman Dr Sasmit Patra on Saturday said the COVID-19 situation in Odisha is under control and corona testing is being done as per ICMR guidelines.

Stating this in response to the demand of BJP leader Prithviraj Harichandan that the government should go for testing of all migrants returning to Odisha, Patra said the BJP should at least believe the guidelines laid down by its government at the Centre and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

As per the guidelines of both authorities, testing of symptomatic persons should only be done and that is followed by the Odisha government, said Patra.

The BJP should believe in science and follow the guidelines of its own Government’s Ministry and stop playing cheap politics at these trying times of COVID-19 pandemic, Patra said.
