Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday announced the members of its four committees ahead of dual elections in Odisha.
BJP’s national president JP Nadda approved the names of the members of the core committee, election committee, finance committee and disciplinary committee on the day.
The state core committee of the party has 15 members besides 3 special invitees. Its members are state BJP president Manmohan Samal, party’s national vice-president Baijayant Panda, Union ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw, Dharmendra Pradhan and Bishweswar Tudu, national spokesperson Sambit Patra and former state BJP presidents Samir Mohanty, Suresh Pujari, Basant Panda and KV Singhdeo.
National General Secretary and State Prabhari Sunil Bansal, State Sah-Prabhari Vijaypal Singh Tomar and State Sah-Prabhari Lata Usendi are the special invitees of the committee.
The election committee has same members as those of the core committee. It has state president of Mahila Morcha Aishwarya Biswal as ex-officio member while its special invitees remain same as those of the core committee.
Following are the members of the disciplinary committee:
- Pratap Chandra Sarangi, MP
- Parsuram Majhi, former MP and State Executive Member
- Namitarani Sahoo, State Executive Member
- Sudipta Ray, State Spokesperson
- Sudarshan Nayak, State Executive Member
The names of the members of BJP’s state disciplinary committee are as follow:
- Baijayant Panda, National BJP Vice-President
- Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Cabinet Minister
- Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Cabinet Minister
- Bishweswar Tudu, Union Minister of State
- Purna Chandra Mohapatra, State Vice President
- CA Dibakar Harichandan, State Joint Treasurer
- Binod Dash, State Executive Member
- Sudarshan Goel, State Treasurer
- Murali Sharma, State Executive Member
- D Murali Krishna, State Executive Member
Speaking on the formation of the committees, Manmohan Samal said their members have been selected by the party after analysing their works and contributions. “We are ready to go to the elections. The members of the two committees have been assigned specific tasks and they will execute their responsibilities to ensure success of the party candidates in the elections,” he added.
