Bhubaneswar: In a sudden turnaround, former BJD MLA Bhagirathi Sethi, who had recently resigned from the party and joined the BJP, returned to the ruling party fold on Friday.
Sethi arrived at Naveen Niwas with his supporters, where he rejoined the BJD in presence of party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Notably, the BJP had recently announced the candidature of Sethi for Anandpur Aeembly seat.
He had won the seat in 2009 elections on the BJD ticket. However, the party replaced him with Mayadhar Jena in 2014.
