BJP Gets Into Poll Mode, 21 Central Leaders To Visit 21 Lok Sabha Constituencies In Odisha

Rourkela: Three days after the BJP cleared air about its Odisha mission by announcing that it would go to 2024 Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections on its own strength, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jaynarayan Mishra on Friday said that central leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath will be visiting the state soon.

Mishra further said that 21 central leaders will also visit 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha. “This was decided at a meeting held in Delhi recently. The party is preparing a strategy for 2024 elections in Rourkela in presence of BJP national general secretary (Org) BL Santhosh and state Prabhari Sunil Bansal, State president Manmohan Samal and organistaional secretary and will go full throttle during the campaign,” he said.

The saffron party has set a target to capture a 51% vote share in the 2024 general election.

State BJP office bearers and leaders of various party units are also attending the closed-door meeting aimed at strengthening the party’s organisation with a focus on booth management. “We will thwart all conspiracy by the ruling party to capture booths using money, police, and government machinery. Efforts are on to strength the organisation at every booth and ward level and establish connect with vote makers and breakers. We reach out to 1 crore families,” said Mishra, who could not attend the meeting as he is keeping unwell.

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat also has been in Rourkela for the past five days to attend various programmes.
