Minority Morcha Bikaner district president Usman Ghani said recently on television that the BJP was going to lose 3-4 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan, reported PTI.

He also expressed displeasure at Modi’s remarks on Muslims during election rallies in the state.

Ghani had said that being a Muslim, he was disappointed with the Prime Minister’s comments.

He said when he goes to Muslims to seek votes for the BJP, people talk about the kind of remarks made by the PM and “look for answers” from him.

Ghani also remarked that the Jat community in Rajasthan is angry with the BJP and they have voted against the party in Churu and other constituencies. He added that he was not afraid of consequences of the saffron party taking any action against him.

A video of Ghani speaking to a reporter of a news channel surfaced on social media after which BJP state disciplinary committee chairman Onkar Singh Lakhawat said that the former was trying to “tarnish” the party’s image in the media.

“The party took cognizance of the act of Usman Ghani to tarnish its image and expelled him from the primary membership of the party for six years, considering it a breach of discipline,” Lakhawat said in a statement.
