New Delhi: If news reports are to be believed, BJP president Amit Shah will join Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new Cabinet.
There has been intense speculation about what role Shah will play after the BP’s historic win in the Lok Sabha elections. Some reports had suggested that the Prime Minister was keen to bring him into the Union Cabinet but Shah wanted to work for the party as its captain.
Media reports now suggest that Shah will be part of Modi 2.0 team but it is not clear if he will relinquish the party president’s post or continue to retain it.
Reports also suggested that Union minister J.P. Nadda might replace him as BJP president.
Significantly, Nadda’s name has not figured in the list of probable ministers who would be taking oath on Thursday evening.
