Mumbai: The tirade between Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut continued on Sunday with the latter calling out the politician for accusing BJP of backing someone who had ‘insulted’ Mumbai.
In his weekly column Rokhthok in Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, the MP said that it was unfortunate that the BJP was backing Kangana Ranaut despite the actress likening Mumbai to Pak-occupied Kashmir. He further alleged that this was being done with an eye on Bihar polls and was part of a conspiracy to defame the city.
Citing a news report, Team Kangana tweeted: “BJP should instead let Shiv Sena goons break my face, rape or openly lynch me, nahin Sanjay ji?'”
Wow!! Unfortunate that BJP is protecting someone who busted drug and mafia racket, BJP should instead let Shiv Sena goons break my face, rape or openly lynch me, nahin Sanjay ji? How dare they protect a young woman who is standing against the mafia!!! https://t.co/xnspn8yeSW

On Friday, a group of Shiv Sena workers, headed by Kamlesh Kadam, the shakha pramukh of the party’s Kandivali unit in Mumbai, had attacked a retired Navy officer for allegedly forwarding a cartoon showing Uddhav Thackeray prostrating before pictures of Sharad Pawar and Socia Gandhi.
