BJP Winning 4 Lok Sabha & 18 Assembly Seats, Claims Tomar After 1st Round Polls In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Focussed firmly on wresting Odisha from BJD, BJP Odisha election In-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar on Tuesday claimed that it will win all 4 Lok Sabha seats and 18 out of 28 Assembly seats that went to polls in the first round of voting in Odisha on May 13.
He asserted that the saffron party will form the government in Odisha and win at least 16 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
Earlier in the day, BJD leader V K Pandian had exuded confidence of winning 24 of the 28 Assembly seats. “The BJD is sweeping the elections whether it is first, second, third or fourth round. To be precise, in the first round, BJD is winning a minimum of 24 out of 28 seats. Last time we had got 20 seats. This time, there is Naveen Patnaik’s wave, so we should be winning more than 24 seats out of 28 seats. In two seats there is competition with Congress and in one with BJP.”
He further said that the ruling party’s performance in Lok Sabha will be much better than the last time.
