BJP’s Jayant Sinha Not To Conest Lok Sabha Polls, Asks To Be ‘Relieved Of Electoral Duties’
New Delhi: After Gautam Gambir, former Union Minister and BJP MP from Hazaribagh Jayant Sinha on Saturday requested BJP national president JP Nadda to relieve him of his electoral duties.
While stating that he wanted to focus on combating climate change in India and around the world, he also expressed his desire not to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. “I have requested JP Nadda to relieve me of my direct electoral duties so that I can focus my efforts on combating global climate change in Bharat and around the world. Of course, I will continue to work with the party on economic and governance issues,” he posted on X.

The BJP is reportedly considering offering tickets to numerous new leaders, while certain incumbent MPs have also expressed their desire to concentrate on other organisational responsibilities, according to sources.
Gambhir, who will mentor the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), has also requested the party leadership to relieve him from political responsibilities.
