Berhampur: A black buck was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle near Khemundi College in Digapahandi of Ganjam district on Saturday.
On being informed by the locals, the Forest officials rushed to the spot. As the 2-year-old male black buck was alive, they took it to the Veterinary Hospital where Dr Asish Dora declared the black buck dead, said Ranger Kanhu Charan Patnaik.
“We buried the carcass in the Central Nursery complex after post-mortem”, said the Ranger.
