Mumbai: Following the brutal murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, BJP MP Harnath Singh advised good friend of the politician, actor Salman Khan, to apologise to the Bishnoi community and end this feud.
Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12 and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, on whose hit list is Salman Khan, claimed responsibility for the murder.
The gang publicly declared that they are not going to spare anyone who will help Salman, as the actor has been on their hit list for allegedly killing blackbuck, that is considered scared by the Bishnoi community.
Even as the Mumbai police has beefed up security for Salman, MP Harnath Singh advised the actor to apologise and repent for hurting the sentiments of Bishnoi community by hunting down a blackbuck.
“Some 23-24 years ago, Salman Khan went to Rajasthan for the shooting of a film. He went hunting and killed a blackbuck. The blackbuck is worshipped in the Bishnoi community, and its killing left the community furious,” IANS reported quoting Singh.
“The best way to end this is to repent and apologise. Apologising does not diminish a person’s status; it enhances it,” he added.
On Sunday, Harnath Singh had posted a note for Salman on X which read as: “Dear Salman Khan, the Bishnoi community worships the blackbuck as a deity. You hunted it, cooked it, and ate it. The community has been angry for a long time because of this. My good advice is to apologise and make amends.”
